Wanakkam - A moment of harmony

“Wanakkam”, a joint project undertaken by Rotaract Club of University of Moratuwa and Rotaract Club of Nallur Heritage, was conducted to improve the reconciliation between Tamils and Sinhalese and also to understand the diversity of cultures. A seminar series was held for the Ordinary Level students to uplift their knowledge on the subject of Mathematics and Information Technology.
Jaffna district was mainly focused and a school was selected to support the blossoming future of our country. Inuvil Hindu College, Jaffna opened up for us on the 20th of September 2019 onwards and a fulfilling amount of subject matter was discussed in parallel to the past papers. Questions were raised and students were allowed to answer in their own ways while our team clarified their doubts in the syllabus. All in all, it was harmony, peace and friendship that mattered at the end.
தமிழ் மற்றும் சிங்கள மக்களுக்கு இடையிலான நல்லிணக்கத்தை மேம்படுத்துவதற்கும் அவர்களின் கலாச்சாரத்தைப் புரிந்து கொள்ளவும் மொரட்டுவ பல்கலைக்கழக ரோட்டராக்ட் கழகத்தின் முதல் கட்ட செயற்திட்டமான “வணக்கம்” இன் கீழ் பல்வேறு மாவட்டங்களில் சாதாரணதர மாணவர்களுக்கு (O/L)
கணித கருத்தரங்கு நடாத்தப்பட்டது.
அந்த வரிசையில், யாழ்ப்பாண மாவட்டத்திலும் கணித கருத்தரங்கு நடத்தப்பட்டது. கணித கருத்தரங்கின் முக்கியத்துவம் மற்றும் எமது குறிக்கோளுக்கு அமைய ஒரு பள்ளி தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டு இவ் கருத்தரங்கு நடத்தப்பட்டது. அந்த வகையில், 2019 செப்டம்பர் 20 ஆம் தேதி யாழ் / இனுவில் இந்து கல்லூரியில் 10 மற்றும் 11 ஆம் வகுப்பு மாணவர்களுக்கு, மாணவர்கள் மற்றும் பள்ளி ஆசிரியர்களின் விருப்பத்திற்கமைய கருத்தரங்கு நடாத்தப்பட்டதுடன் கடந்த கால முன்னோடி பரீட்சை வினாத்தாள்களும் விநியோகிக்கப்பட்டன .
மனாவர்களிடம் வினாக்கள் எழுப்பப்படதோடு மாணவர்கள் தாங்கள் கற்றவற்றை மீண்டும் கற்பிக்க ஊக்குவிக்கப்படனர். இக் கருத்தரங்கு மாணவர்களுடன் நட்புடனும் சமத்துவத்துடனும் பழகுவதற்கு வழிவகுத்தது. இதன்மூலம் அவர்களின் தேவைகளை எங்களால் அறிய முடிந்ததோடு அவர்களின் பின்னூட்டத்தில்(feedback) பெரும்பாலான மாணவர்கள் கணிதத்தின் மற்றைய பகுதிகளையும் நாங்கள் கற்பித்தால் நல்லது என்று கூறினர். அவர்களின் அந்த கோரிக்கையை அடுத்த வரும் கருத்தரங்குகளில் நிவர்த்தி செய்ய முயற்சிப்போம்.
